Join IDTA, International Data Spaces Association (IDSA) and Fraunhofer IESE on 12th March 2026 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany to the Data Spaces Kickstart Event, to learn how industry, data spaces enable information to flow securely and sovereignly across company boundaries.

On 29 January 2025, Fraunhofer IESE and IDTA jointly invite to the AAS Dataspace Industry Challenge Day in Kaiserslautern, Germany for an interactive day filled with learning and innovation. In various sessions, participants will dive into the AAS Dataspace, experiment with data and security concepts and develop creative solutions and extensions for the open platform.

The digital twin of a machine is created in the software systems (ECAD, MCAD, etc.) of all companies involved in the process using digital and physical components from countless manufacturers.

IDTA publishes version 3.0 of the specification of the information model of the Asset Administration Shell (AAS), which is the foundation for the standardised Digital Twin in the industry. In four parts, the specification describes how companies can compile and structure information in the Asset Administration Shell.

Mitsubishi Electric Europe has joined the Industrial Digital Twin Association e.V. (IDTA) and is the 100th member in the alliance for the joint establishment and development of the standardised Digital Twin for industry. Since its founding in September 2020 with 23 constituent members, 100 companies have come together up to the present day to implement the Digital Twin based on the Asset Administration Shell (AAS).
