The realisation of an idea through a proof-of-concept includes prototype development, feasibility testing and evaluation of opportunities and risks for digital twins with asset administration shells. Our approach involves setting up a fully comprehensive development and operating environment for administration shells that supports their seamless integration into existing production and software landscapes. This has already enabled us to realise a large number of applications:

The Digital Service Assistant is the first tool from Bosch Rexroth which brings the Asset Administration Shell information direct to our customer. In the first step the user can scan the product and look into the different Submodels of the AAS direct on an end device. Later on there will be the possibility to download the AAS on the end device or deploy it in the company’s own system landscape.


The customer benefit of using the Digital Service Assistant from Bosch Rexroth is that it provides an easy and convenient way to access information about their products. With the ability to scan the product and directly access the different Submodels of the Asset Administration Shell (AAS), customers can quickly find the information they need without having to search for it. Additionally, with the option to download or deploy the AAS on their own system, customers have more control over how they use the information and can integrate it into their existing systems seamlessly.
