AAS Day will take place on 18 September 2026 at Roche in Basel, Switzerland, and is dedicated specifically to the process industry.

This use case demonstrates how IFC-based building information, AAS-based asset descriptions, and operational data can be linked in a standardized way for building operations, validating the practical applicability of the IDTA/buildingSMART recommendations in a real building context.

The SPS takes place from 24th to 26th November 2026 in Nuremberg, Germany.

From 20 to 24 April 2026 at the Hannover Messe, IDTA will demonstrate how the Asset Administration Shell (AAS), as a standardised Digital Twin, forms the basis for interoperable data exchange within industrial ecosystems. At the same time, it creates the conditions for the use of industrial artificial intelligence and the implementation of the Digital Product Passport (DPP) by semantically contextualising data.

IDTA and IDSA are merging their expertise to bring industrial data exchange and the application of digital twins closer together in the future. The cooperation combines two central building blocks of the digital industry: While IDTA develops the standard for digital twins based on the Asset Administration Shell (AAS), IDSA addresses interaction in decentralised data spaces with the standardisation of the Dataspace Protocol.
