The associations AutomationML e.V., Industrial Digital Twin Association (IDTA), OPC Foundation and VDMA announce the publication of a jointly prepared discussion paper on the topic of "Interoperability with AutomationML, the Asset Administration Shell, OPC UA including Companion Specifications". The paper is available for download from the respective organisations.

The Industrial Digital Twin Association e.V. (IDTA) will be exhibiting at the Hannover Messe from 17 to 21 April 2023. Visitors will obtain information about the standardised Digital Twin based on the Asset Administration Shell (AAS) at the IDTA booth.

The Submodel Template of the Asset Administration Shell (AAS) "IDTA 02004-1-2 Handover Documentation" has been published by IDTA. Architect of the Submodel Oliver Hillermeier (SAP) provides information on the application fields and benefits of the Submodel in an interview.

The 3rd Annual General Meeting of the Industrial Digital Twin Association e.V. (IDTA) for the association year 2022 took place on 23 March 2023 in Frankfurt am Main. The participants had a look back at the year 2022 and gained insights into the plans for 2023.

At the beginning of 2023, Erich Clauer, Vice President Industry Standards & Open Source at SAP, was elected to the IDTA Board, where he will contribute with his expertise on the topics of standardisation and open source development. Erich Clauer as a new member of the board replaces Nils Herzberg (SAP), who has held the position since the founding of the IDTA in 2021 and has resigned from the IDTA board with his retirement.
