3 questions to the new board member Dr. Florian Harzenetter
Dr. Florian Harzenetter, Global Industry Adviso at PTC, has been appointed to the board of the IDTA. In a short interview, he shares his experience in Digital Twins and data exchange and his aspirations for the new role.
What is your professional background and how does your work overlap with the Digital Twin?
I have been working for PTC since 2008, helping our customers organise product data throughout the development process and prepare it for subsequent processes. This data consistency helps companies become more efficient.
Which Asset Administration Shell/IDTA activities have you been involved in so far?
In my projects, I have worked with renowned companies specialized in automation technology, machine building and plant engineering, and I know – from both sides – the challenges of making data from the value chain available within a company. And I know where the AAS will help.
Why is an initiative at IDTA important?
For the IDTA to be a success, it is crucial that we address the entire supply chain and make data accessible from companies in all regions of the world. I would like to contribute to the IDTA expanding internationally and, in particular, gaining a foothold in the USA.
