Standardized linking of building, asset and operational data in the operational phase

Linking of IFC-based building information, AAS-based asset descriptions, and operational data in a standardized way for building operations, validating the IDTA/buildingSMART recommendations.

From fragmented building data to interoperable building operations

From fragmented building data to interoperable building operations

The demonstrator combines an IFC-based building twin, AAS-based product twins, a lifecycle-oriented common data environment, and live data from a real building. A unique identifier links the building context with asset-specific information and documentation. The AAS provides standardized access to product-related data, while the CDE manages building structure and lifecycle context. Live sensor values complement the operational view. In this way, the use case validates a practical setup for standardized BIM-AAS integration in the operational phase.
