With the AAS, a manufacturer-independent Digital Twin can be created, which allows to integrate information from components of different manufacturers into a machine description. The AAS allows standardized connection of software tools, for example for engineering. The automatic reuse of information in any target system, such as an asset management tool for machines or production equipment, is made possible.
